Though it's no surprise to most "Twi-hard" fans, R-Patz and K-Stew have decided not to attend the remaining four "Twilight" conventions, which are in San Antonio (Aug. 25), Detroit (Sept. 29), Parsippany, N.J. (Oct. 5) and Los Angeles (Nov. 3).
Fans were at least hoping to see their favorite werewolf, co-star Taylor Lautner, at one of the conventions but he has opted out also.
"The passion and dedication of 'Twilight' fandom has been amazing, and we're out to throw one last giant convention, a final gathering to see old friends that have made up the 'Twilight' family," Creation Entertainment said.
"Although Rob, Kristen and Taylor will not be with us this time out, we will have a super line-up of other 'Twilight' stars, and the weekend will be filled with special events, movie prop and costume displays, contests, panels, auctions, parties, exclusive merchandise, music and much more, including some surprises!"
In fact, a source told Us Weekly, "They were never supposed to attend this convention," referring to Stewart and Pattinson.
After Stewart was caught cheating on her real-life boyfriend Pattinson, he went into hiding, but was forced back into the public eye to promote his new movie "Cosmopolis."
"Media culture is a monstrous thing," Pattinson told the Los Angeles Times last week. "You can't win. The annoying thing is that you can't attack them, but you can't defend yourself. The best thing you could possibly do is punch a paparazzi and give them their big payday."
The two share a lot of memories after meeting on the set of "Twilight" and both being thrust into stardom as a result. "Twilight" conventions will most likely remind the couple of happier times that they've had together -- making moving on more difficult for both Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart.
Are you surprised that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won't be going to the remaining "Twilight" conventions?
