LA Galaxy 1-0 Houston Dynamo
Los Angeles Galaxy's Beckham hoists the championship trophy as the team celebrate their victory over Houston Dynamo during their MLS Cup soccer final match in Carson.

LA Galaxy defeated Houston Dynamo 1-0 in the MLS Cup final on Sunday at the Home Depot Center, clinching their third all-time MLS Cup.

Landon Donovan scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute, after being let through on goal by strike partner Robbie Keane. Donovan's finish, classy dink, had Houston keeper Tally Hall rooted.

The Galaxy dominated the game and had many more chances. The final scoreline, in fact, flatters Dynamo.

Former England captain David Beckham won his first trophy in United States on the final game of his five-year contract. It is unclear whether he will stay on, but reports suggest he will move to Paris St-Germain.
