La La Anthony and Carmelo Anthony just confirmed their separation. The estranged couple has not filed for divorce yet, but here’s what’s at stake financially should they decide to call it quits for good.

According to the Celebrity Net Worth, the NBA player earns a lot more than his wife does. Carmelo has a net worth of $90 million, while La La has $9 million. However, the pair may not need to fight over income division as the two apparently signed a prenuptial agreement, Page Six reported.

Unfortunately, the specifics of their agreement remain unknown at the moment. According to Joseph Mannis, a family law expert, “all bets are off” due to their prenup. Mannis explained that without the prenup, La La would have been entitled to 50 percent of his income every time Carmelo gets a paycheck.

“The question is: the division of property, what's happened to his money, did they save it or spend it? Did they invest it or did they spend it? What's left of it? You cannot divide what has been spent on consumables throughout the marriage (ex: vacations),” Mannis continued.

Carmelo currently has a $124 million contract with the New York Knicks. The estranged couple has one son together, and La La is reportedly requesting for monthly child support worth $60,000 to $100,000. Mannis predicts that $15,000 to $25,000 would be the range of what she actually gets in the end. He added that it is Carmelo’s lawyer’s job to reduce the amount.

La La and Carmelo’s split was blamed on the NBA star being a womanizer. One source told Page Six that Melo’s tagline is “La La is married, I’m not.” The Knicks player reportedly impregnated a stripper, who is now demanding for financial support for her medical and baby-related bills. However, a source close to the player denied it.

As per TMZ, the woman claimed to be six and a half months pregnant with Carmelo’s child, which reportedly pissed off La La. The pair’s marriage has apparently been on the rocks for quite some time now, and sources claimed that there is no chance for reconciliation this time.

This is not the first time that the pair had split up as Melo and La La parted ways three years ago as well. However, after giving it some time, they later got back together, so some of their friends are hoping that the same thing will happen again.
