(REUTERS) -- Canada's La Mancha Resources Inc said it expects gold production at its ramped-up Ity mine in Ivory Coast to go up 65 percent to 83 percent this year.

La Mancha, which operates in Africa and Australia, expects to produce 110,000 to 130,000 attributable ounces of gold in 2012, compared with 121,446 attributable ounces produced in 2011.

The company expects to produce 27,900 to 31,000 attributable ounces of gold from the Ity mine this year, compared with 16,860 attributable ounces produced in 2011.

Shares of the company were flat at C$2.85 on Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
