Lady Gaga has weighed in on the theme behind season 5 of FX's "American Horror Story" and how her character’s journey ties in with the other storylines on the hit TV series.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter (THR), Lady Gaga said the upcoming "American Horror Story: Hotel” (AHS: Hotel) is all about addiction. She shared how in "AHS: Hotel," viewers will see the “dichotomy of the two worlds."

"You have the hotel world, which feels decidedly like the Ryan Murphy world, and then you have the outside world," Lady Gaga explained. "It's addiction as the public sees it versus how it really is and how that all plays into each other."

Meanwhile, the pop singer also shared that she was initially worried about how her fiancé Kinney would react to her "AHS: Hotel" project. Kinney has appeared in various TV series and movies for close to 10 years, and the "Bad Romance" songstress considered TV "his thing."

"What guy in that scenario would be like, 'Sure, babe, do TV!'? He does TV, that's his thing. I do music, and you know, we're together. But I sort of was like, 'Is it cool if I do TV?,' And he was like, 'F--- yeah!'" Lady Gaga told E!News.

The multi-awarded singer and songwriter even shared how "exponentially supportive" Kinney was during the entire process, and revealed how excited the "Chicago Fire" actor was on the prospect of them reading scripts together and talking about their characters. Lady Gaga even mentioned how her fiancé taught her about filming etiquette and what actors would appreciate during their coverage.

"He taught me to make sure that I was always available fully to the actors when I was working so that when the coverage is on them that I don't drop my character, that I'm always in it for them, and you know, that's invaluable advice," she added.

Feedback about Lady Gaga's acting in season 5 of the "American Horror Story" has been positive so far, with her co-stars and showrunner Ryan Murphy impressed with how she immersed herself in the role.
