Charlie Sheen has found the answer to his “Anger Management” problems. Actress Laura Bell Bundy has been tapped to join the cast of the FX comedy series, less than two months after the departure of show regular Selma Blair.

Bundy will play Dr. Jordan Denby. The character is described in the press release as “a brilliant psychologist whose recent divorce, fondness for alcohol and wild mood swings turn Charlie’s life into an emotional roller coaster,” according to The New York Times.

Bundy replaces Blair, who famously exited the series in June after a feud with Sheen. "We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to 'Anger Management' and we wish her the very best," Lionsgate Television said in a statement at the time.

As previously reported, FX sent out a casting call for a "gorgeous, sexy Latina or Caucasian actress in her 30s or 40s."

"If Charlie and Kate were like Sam and Diane on 'Cheers,' then you are Rebecca,” the casting call continues. “Tough, career-driven, neurotic and you wear your heart on your sleeve. And you hate yourself for eventually becoming attracted to Charlie."

Bundy brings a respected resume to “Anger Management.” She is known performer in musical theater, playing the role of Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde: The Musical” on Broadway, for which she earned a Tony nomination. She had recurring roles in CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” and CW’s “Hart of Dixie,” as well as film roles in "Dreamgirls" and "Jumanji."

Bundy also has a burgeoning country music career. She is signed to Big Machine Records out of Nashville. Her new single, “Two Step,” is available now.

The addition of Bundy isn’t the only change behind the scenes. Brian Austin Green, who played the recurring role of Sean, the boyfriend of Shawnee Smith’s character in three episodes, has been promoted to series regular.
