Analyst from iSuppli Corp said its demand of LCD-TVs has fallen short of its projections in the current economic environment.

TV’s posted a 28.7 percent of outsourced LCD-TVs compared to iSuppli previous forecast of 35.2 percent of LCD-TVs would be outsourced in 2008.

“The primary reason for this shortfall compared to expectations is weakened demand due to the recession,” said Jeffrey Wu, senior analyst for Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) at iSuppli.

The firm also projected it will continue to decline by 5.6 percent in 2009 and up to 2.6 percent in 2012.
