Leap years only happen once every four years, and the same can be said for these deals. Plenty of businesses are using Feb. 29 for one-day sales. Consumers can take advantage of February’s extra day with some savings. Several companies are offering special prices, freebies and buy one, get one deals on leap day. Some restaurants are even giving free food to customers with Feb. 29 birthdays. See some of the best deals below:

Hungry Howie’s Pizza – When you buy one large pizza with one or more toppings, you can get a second large, one topping pizza for 29 cents (Alabama and Florida locations are not participating).

Tropical Smoothie Café – Loyalty members can get 24 oz. classic smoothies for $2.29.

Dog Haus – Upgrade your burger from a single to a double for free on Feb. 29.

Sky Zone Trampoline Park – Work off those treats with a jumping session. Sky Zone will off up to 70 percent off of jump passes, but deals vary by location.

Krispy Kreme – Buy a dozen donuts, get another dozen for $2.29.

Travelocity – You can get $29 off a $229 hotel stay by using the promo code LEAP29. You can also take $129 off a $1229 vacation package (flight and hotel) with the code LEAP129.

Expedia – Those who use the Expedia app can get a 29 percent discount on select hotel reservations.

Urban Outfitters – The store has a $29 or less sale section on their website today.

Betsey Johnson – Get 29 percent off plus free shipping when you use the promo code LEAP on the website.

Redbubble – The online store is offering 29 percent off hoodies on Leap Day, and 20 percent off other merchandise.

Target – Shoppers using the Target Cartwheel app can score an extra 29 percent off various items ranging from clothing to household products to food.

Birthday Deals

McAlister’s Deli – Is your birthday on Feb. 29? McAlister’s is giving leap year babies a free cookie.

Olive Garden – Continue your birthday sugar high with a Dolcini. The Italian restaurant is offering the dessert platter to anyone with a Feb. 29 birthday.

Hard Rock Cafe – Get a free birthday meal! However, you have limited options. See the menu HERE.

Pizza Hut – Nothing says happy birthday like a free personal pan pizza.

Houlihan’s – Not only do customers get a free birthday meal, but they’ll receive 28 additional free meals to use throughout the next month.
