‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Spoilers: Black Flash And Two Mystery Characters Confirmed To Appear In Season 2

Black Flash is visiting the zany world of “Legends of Tomorrow” soon.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly on SiriusXM radio show “Superhero Insider,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed that the black-suited speedster is going to appear in Season 2 of the CW series.

Black Flash made its first appearance on the network’s DC TV universe in the Season 2 finale of “The Flash.” Hunter Zolomon (Teddy Sears), a.k.a. Zoom, was transformed into Black Flash by Time Wraiths after Barry (Grant Gustin) defeated him at the end of the season.

Black Flash basically serves as a Grim Reaper for speedsters in the comics. When speedsters die, Black Flash brings them back to the source of their powers, which is the Speed Force. If the role of “Legends of Tomorrow’s” version of Black Flash is the same as the character’s job in the comics, then his impending appearance on the show may be a foreshadowing of the death of Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher), who is the only speedster character on “The Flash” — “Arrow” offshoot.

Although Sears played Black Flash in the Season 2 finale of “The Flash,” it’s unclear whether or not the actor is going to reprise the role on “Legends of Tomorrow” as he currently plays a series regular role on FOX’s “24: Legacy.”

Apparently, Black Flash isn’t the only character from other CW’s DC Comics TV shows that will appear in Season 2 of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

“We, just yesterday, made an offer to an actor to reprise their role from one of the other shows in the season finale of ‘Legends,’” Guggenheim teased during the most recent episode of “Superhero Insider.” “And in the penultimate episode we’re gonna have — I can’t be specific about this, but it’s one of the most fun things I think we’ve ever done on the show — a character from one of the other shows [will appear] on ‘Legends’ in a way that you’ve never seen before, you may never see again, but will, I think, just send fans into squeals of joy.”

An all-new episode of “Legends of Tomorrow” airs on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW. Check out the synopsis and trailer for Season 2, episode 10, titled “The Legion of Doom,” below:
