Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez recently responded to rumors that she dated Miley Cyrus’ fiancé, Liam Hemsworth.

According to People, Gonzalez and Hemsworth were spotted kissing each other a day after the actor ended his relationship with Cyrus in 2013. At the time, rumors swirled that Gonzalez and Hemsworth were an item, but the former never confirmed or denied the speculations.

During her recent interview with Latina magazine, Gonzalez still refused to share details about the controversial photo. “I would never talk about that. I focus on my work, that’s what really matters. I don’t think it’s necessary. I think that your life as a public person is already so exposed. I’m being linked to people because it’s my environment. It’s like your school. We don’t know each other. It’s people I surround myself with. I don’t know why it’s such a big thing,” she said.

Last year, Gonzalez was also linked to musician Calvin Harris. But it seems that their fling did not work out. At present, the actress is still waiting for her knight in shining armor, according to E! News. “I’m looking for love like every other human being. I’ve been meeting a lot of people and finding what I like and what I don’t like – defining myself as a person,” she said.

Meanwhile, Hemsworth recently got back together with Cyrus after almost two years since they split. The couple, who is now engaged, is well supported by Cyrus’ family. While speaking with US Weekly, Cyrus’ mom, Tish, gushed over Hemsworth and said, “I will say I love Liam. I’ve known him forever.”

The singer’s sister, Brandi, chimed in, “Absolutely cannot be more obsessed. I love Liam too!”

Tish also talked about her daughter’s newest single, “Malibu,” and said that it reflects what the “Voice” coach has been feeling lately. “I think Miley is so real and every stage you see her in is truly the stage of her life that she’s in. She’s in such a great space, so happy, and I think the music really reflects that,” she said.

Cyrus released one of her most controversial songs, “Wrecking Ball,” shortly after her engagement to Hemsworth was called off.
