Lil Wayne launched his first clothing line Thursday in New York City. The hip-hop honcho's line of T-shirts and hats, called Trukfit, embraces pajama swag.

His stylist, Marisa Flores, a former skate-industry insider, described to Women's Wear Daily her client's style. I used to call it, like, street chic, Flores said. But now I want to call it pajama swag.

Trukfit comes complete with bold colors, animated graphics and is all made in the U.S. of 100 percent cotton. The line will be available for purchase at Zumiez and Karmaloop.

Wayne arrived at El Privado, the basement club at the Hotel Americano in NYC's Chelsea, dressed in a bright pink T-shirt from his line, a matching pink hat, red plaid drawstring pants and moon boots designed by artist Terence Koh for Opening Ceremony and Forfex.

Everybody's into suits right now, Flores told WWD. For me, I don't understand, if I was a man, why I'd be in a suit ... It's really mostly about comfort and being comfortable and just kind of expressing yourself and wearing whatever you want. Pajama swag. You can roll out of bed, put it on.

Young male models showed off the collection dressed in cargo shorts, calf-socks and silver body paint. The collection includes T-shirts and baseball caps inspired by 90s skateboard style and the Japanese street-wear designer Nigo. Russell Simmons and Ahmad Bradshaw of the NY Giants were both there. Buyers and hip-hop editors sauntered around the room, checking out the line.

I was just waiting for the right time to bring it [the collection] out, Wayne told the crowd as the DJ played his own song, 'A Milli.' I never had a good name for it, and I came up with the name and I thought it was perfect timing. Trukfit is apparently an acronym for The Reason You Kill For It.

When asked to describe the line in two words, the rapper -- who was busy with his iPhone and a lollipop -- responded, Un ... Usual, he said with a smile and a laugh. That's one word.
