Blake Shelton and his new girlfriend Gwen Stefani are slowly making their romance public, but that doesn't mean the pair is ready to meet each other's friends. Fellow country singer and Shelton's longtime friend Luke Bryan recently opened up about the "Sangria" singer’s new relationship and admitted he's never met Stefani.

"[Blake] doesn't want me to hug her or anything," Bryan joked with Entertainment Tonight Wednesday at the CMT Artists of the Year Awards. "He doesn't want me to meet her."

The "Kick The Dust Up" singer also joked that Stefani might need her eyes checked if she's interested in Shelton.

“My stepmother is an optometrist. And I’m trying to get Gwen an appointment with her," he said.

As previously reported, reps for Shelton and Stefani confirmed they were a couple in November ahead of the CMA Awards. The "Hollaback" singer, however, still won’t admit she’s dating her “The Voice” co-star even though she's been spotted a few times FaceTiming him.

Most recently, Stefani was seen walking around Disneyland in Anaheim, California, with her sons while video chatting with Shelton. Bryan explained to Entertainment Tonight that Shelton and Stefani probably FaceTime so much because the 39-year-old "has no service" in his Los Angeles home.

"You have to FaceTime him to talk," he explained.

Shelton also opened up about being caught FaceTiming his girlfriend telling "Access Hollywood" that he was shocked to see the photos pop up online.

“These people -- they get these pictures! What I [though] was like, ‘Hey! Look at this cool stuff at Disneyland!’ And the next thing I see is a picture of Gwen holding my face up at Disneyland,” he said.
