Following speculation that Macaulay Culkin was suffering from a drug addiction, reportedly heroin, after photos surfaced of him looking “gaunt,” the “Home Alone” actor was recently seen looking much healthier.

Culkin, 33, made a rare appearance at New York Comic Con on Saturday to participate in a panel for “Robot Chicken,” an Adult Swim cartoon for which he has provided voices since 2005. The actor, best known for his role in “Home Alone” as Kevin McAllister, did not look as thin as he had in photos from last year that fueled rumors he was suffering from a heroin addiction, later dispelled by his publicist.

According to E! News, Culkin was asked by reporters where he has been hiding since his last film gig, 2004’s “Saved!” to which the actor replied, “Hiding under a rock somewhere.”

His cast mate and friend Seth Green added: "The best thing about Mac is that he had a better career by the time he was 14 than most of us have in our whole lives. If he spends four years, six years, not doing anything, he'll still be more relevant than anyone here."

Culkin seemed to be in good spirits as he goofed around on stage with Green and other cast mates Breckin Meyer and Matthew Senreich. The actor, donning pink and black furry bunny ears, at one point reportedly licked Green’s face as a joke.

Photos of Culkin from February 2012 shocked fans as the actor appeared “terrifyingly gaunt” during an outing with friend Natalie Portman and her son, Aleph, in New York City. The photos, posted by Entertainment Weekly, sparked rumors that Culkin was suffering from drug addiction. His rep, though, told ET that “Culkin is in perfectly good health” despite his thin appearance and his cancelling a DJ gig earlier that month.

In August, the National Enquirer reported that Culkin was hooked on heroin and prescription painkiller oxycodone, causing him to become so thin over the last year and even overdosing once. The gossip magazine went on to say Culkin spends as much as $6,000 on illegal substances that he shares with friends in his “drug lair.”

"Macaulay Culkin is hooked on drugs and it's killing him!" a source told the tabloid. "He's been hooked for a year and a half, and his drug of choice is either heroin or oxycodone. Mac is surrounding himself with junkies and lowlifes. It's a real tragedy."

Culkin’s rep, Michelle Bega, however, denied the report, calling it "ridiculously fictitious."

"The report in the National Enquirer that Macaulay Culkin is addicted to heroin and assorted hallucinogenics is not only categorically without merit but also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious."

"We beseech the responsible media to consider the source and its reputation and to please not perpetuate this destructive and insulting story by pursuing it any further," the publicist said.
