Authorities in the Philippines say a man killed his daughter and then posted a photo of her dead body on Facebook after he got upset at his wife, who was working overseas.

Mark Alvin Manliclic, 31, allegedly murdered his daughter, Angel Mark Cathlene Manlicic, in his Quezon City house after he got into a telephone argument with his wife, who wouldn’t respond to his Facebook messages, according to Philippine media outlet Tempo on Wednesday. Investigator Elmer Monsalve, chief of the homicide investigation section of the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit, said authorities are looking into reports that Manliclic also allegedly posted a video of the killing.

Angel died of multiple stab wounds to her neck, abdomen and back. Her body was found lying face down when police searched the home Tuesday after Manliclic reportedly confessed killing his daughter to his aunt. The girl’s throat was also slit, according to ABS-CBN News.

Manliclic was reportedly feuding with his wife, who is working in Canada, for a while. He told police and relatives that the fighting got worse when she reneged on her promise to return to the Philippines.

The 31-year-old Filipino man is in jail on parricide charges. He is also scheduled to undergo an exam to determine whether he was on drugs when he allegedly killed his daughter.
