Wilfried Zaha could finally be set to complete his move to Manchester United with the Crystal Palace winger set to undergo a medical with the Premier League leaders in the next 48 hours, according to various sources.

The highly sought-after 20-year-old will not be turning out for United this season, though, with United having agreed to allow Zaha to remain on loan at Palace for the remainder of the campaign.

The Guardian has reported on the exact details of the deal, which could exceed £15 million. United will pay £10 million up front, with a further £5 million potentially changing hands dependent on performance-related clauses. It is also thought that Palace will receive a percentage of any profit should Zaha be sold by United.

Personal terms are also believed to have been finalized, with Zaha earning £35,000 a week over his five-and-a-half-year contract.

Zaha was linked to many of the Premier League’s leading clubs, although it is believed that United’s willingness to allow Zaha to continue to aid Palace’s promotion bid this season was key to a deal being struck. Palace could also yet secure up to two players on-loan from Old Trafford.

Zaha may not be the only player being lined up to join Manchester United next summer. Spanish publication Marca reports that United are close to reaching an agreement with Benfica to sign their center-back Ezequiel Garay.

Talk of United’s interest in the Argentina international is nothing new, although now it appears that Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to act with Garay said to be seen as a replacement for Rio Ferdinand. The 34-year-old’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season.

Certainly Garay has the ability on the ball to replace the talents of Ferdinand and the 26-year-old has impressed in his 18 months at Benfica after struggling to make an impact at Real Madrid.

According to Marca, an agreement on a transfer fee remains the only hurdle to a deal being concluded. Benfica are said to value Garay at €30 million (£20.25m), while United are believed to have offered just half that amount.

Manchester United are still pursuing young Ajax striker Viktor Fischer, according to the Daily Express. The 18-year-old has been heavily linked to both United and rivals Manchester City in the past. Already a Denmark international, Fischer is said to have once again attracted United’s attention after scoring a brace in Ajax’s 3-0 victory over Feyenoord at the weekend.

A new name has emerged as a possible United target in versatile Milan midfielder Urby Emanuelson. Italian publication Corriere dello Sport has reported that the Dutch international could be on his way out of the San Siro, with United interested in a potential €8 million (£6.8m) move.

Emanuelson has played across the midfield for Milan, having started his career at Ajax as a left-back before his move to the Italian giants in January 2011.

But Emanuelson has featured sparingly for Milan this season and the 26-year-old’s agent recently claimed that the player was unhappy at being out of the side. However, it was also stated that Emanuelson had no intention of seeking a move in the near future.
