Duke basketball caught a major break with reports that guard Kyrie Irving will return from injury to play in the NCAA Tournament.

The freshman was considered among the best players in the nation before a toe injury sidelined him since early December.

Irving, who averaged 17.4 points in eight games, is expected to play against Hampton on Friday. Duke is a number one seed, and Hampton is a 16 seed.

The 6'2 guard is a possible first overall pick in the upcoming NBA Draft.
