All Mariah Carey wants for Christmas is to give her fans a book. The pop star is writing a children’s book based on her 1994 hit song, “All I Want For Christmas Is You.”

“When I wrote ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ it was my dream for it to become a classic Christmas song,” Carey told People in a statement. “I am so proud of the song's impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year.”

Carey, 45, hopes even more special memories will be made with the book. “I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families with the picture book,” she added. Illustrations will be created by Colleen Madden and Doubleday Books for Young Readers, a Random House imprint, will publish.

A picture book sounds perfect for young readers like Carey’s twins, Moroccan and Monroe Cannon, 4. The book will follow a little girl who wants a puppy for the holidays. “All I Want For Christmas,” the book, will be released on Nov. 10, and it’s already available for pre-order on Amazon.

Carey is joining a long list of celebs, including Madonna, John Travolta and Queen Latifah, who have written books for kids. Like those stars, this doesn’t mean the “Infinity” singer will take any time away from her other career endeavors. Carey will have quite a busy fall. Aside from her first book release, Carey will also make her directorial debut with a Christmas movie for the Hallmark channel. She will also star in the untitled flick.

She is rumored to make an appearance on Fox's music drama "Empire" as well. “Watch her on 'Empire,' you guys. She’s coming on 'Empire,'” executive producer Lee Daniels told the crowd when Carey received her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Aug. 5, the Guardian reports. However, Entertainment Weekly notes that there is not a contract in place yet.
