Mariah Carey is not expecting her third child, despite reports to the contrary. A rep for the "We Belong Together" singer has responded to a rumor that the songstress is pregnant with boyfriend James Packer’s baby.

ET has confirmed that Mariah, 45, is not with child. The pregnancy rumors began to swirl on Monday when the Australian tabloid New Idea published a report claiming Mariah and her boyfriend of two months, Packer, 47, were expecting. "Mariah found out the baby news recently and they're overjoyed at the prospect of being parents,” New Idea’s report claimed, according to the Daily Mail. According to the ET, however, the story is “completely false.”

This isn’t the first time Mariah was rumored to be planning for a child with Packer. In July, Life & Style reported that the two were discussing having a baby. “She wants another child and is telling friends she’s not too old,” a source told the magazine. “James is promising to spoil her throughout the pregnancy. He’s convinced her he would not only be by her side 24/7, but he would hire round-the-clock care and the best doctors money can buy.”

While a baby may not be on the way for Carey and her businessman beau, it appears their romance is going swimmingly. The singer had nothing but kind words to say about Packer at her Hollywood Walk of Fame star unveiling in Hollywood, California, on Aug. 5. “He’s a very generous man,” Carey said of Packer during her appearance, according to TMZ.

Carey and Packer have no children together, but both have offspring from previous relationships. Mariah shares 4-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-husband Nick Cannon. Packer has three children from his marriage to his second wife, Erica Packer.
