Marketing slides for the “Super Mario” and “Rabbids” franchise crossover game have leaked online. The upcoming Nintendo Switch game will be called “Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle,” and will be released later this summer.

The leaked marketing slides for “Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle” were shared online by Nintendo World Report. The site says that it was able to acquire the slides from one of its sources. The upcoming game is said to be a combination of RPG, exploration and turn-based combat. The combat is also said to make up 65 percent of the entire game, while the rest of the game will focus on exploration.

The leaked slides show various “Super Mario” and “Rabbids” characters holding weapons confirming that combat will be weapon-based. Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Yoshi are all confirmed to be included in the game, while the Rabbids will be dressed up as each of them. That totals to eight playable characters, and each has its own playstyles.

Combat is also said to be tactical that will be similar to most strategy RPGs. Lastly, “Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle” will have a co-op mode for two players. The estimated length of the game is around 20 hours.

Both Nintendo and Ubisoft are working on the game, but Ubisoft will be publishing it. “Mario + Rabbids” will be using Ubisoft’s Snowdrop game engine, while the company’s studios in Paris and Milan are both developing the game itself.

The leaked slides also spoiled the big surprise that Nintendo was going to announce “Mario + Rabbids” during the E3 2017 conference in Los Angeles next month. One of the slides shows that Nintendo and Ubisoft will be hosting the game’s first hand-on experience at E3, as well.

Nintendo has already announced that it will be holding a Spotlight event on June 13 at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET during E3 2017. The Japanese gaming firm teased that it will be showing upcoming Switch games for 2017 during the Spotlight event. “Mario + Rabbids” should be the perfect game to announce at the event right before Nintendo shows more of “Super Mario Odyssey.

Nintendo and Ubisoft plans to continue previewing “Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle” to fans and the media during July, while the game is scheduled to be launched at GamesCom 2017 in August. There’s no exact release date, but the game is listed to be released in August or in September.

The leaked marketing slides for “Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle” arrived just a few hours after the game’s official key art was leaked online by Comicbook.com’s WWG. The site said that it was able to verify the authenticity of the key art through its sources within Ubisoft.

The “Super Mario” and “Rabbids” crossover game was actually first rumored last year, way before the Nintendo Switch was released. The last time that Ubisoft’s “Raving Rabbids” were featured in a Nintendo system was 2012’s “Rabbids Rumble” which was developed by Headstrong Games for the 3DS.
