Rumors are circulating the Internet that former American Idol contestant Pia Toscano is dating Dancing With the Stars heartthrob Mark Ballas.

According to OK! Magazine, the two were spotted this weekend having a dinner date at a Los Angeles mall.

According to TMZ, Ballas provided comfort to Toscano after she was unexpectedly eliminated from the American Idol competition.

The report claims the pair were both gussied up as they left Gulfstream Restaurant in Century City.

This news comes the same day that it was reported that Toscano signed a deal with Interscope Records. Allegedly the New York native signed with the record company soon after she was booted off the show.

Starting [Thursday] night after the show, Interscope told her they wanted her and first thing [Friday] morning Interscope brass started calling every top songwriter and producer in town to get an album together and rush release it, a source familiar with the situation told US Weekly.

The same source said that paperwork is being finalized and that the deal is practically done.

Toscano made it to the Top 9 of American Idol but was voted off after receiving the fewest votes among the remaining contestants. Toscano will tour this summer with her fellow American Idol contestants.
