Of course Versace for H&M was decadent; Jason Wu for Target was lovely; and Giambattista Valli for Macy's was a nod to sheer elegance. But Marni for H&M is, well, totally Marni.

On Friday night, at a private resident in Los Angeles, H&M showed off its newest collaboration with the Marni collection. Not only were celebrities like Drew Barrymore, Rashida Jones and Winona Rider in attendance decked out in the line, but guests were allowed to see and touch the collection laid out in its full glory.

The pieces actually look and feel like real Marni. The quality is that good. The shoes and accessories are fantastic, and the menswear is even worth stealing from, wrote Fashionista's Leah Chernikoff.

The gorgeous collection will be available March 8. The full lookbook was shot by Josh Ollins, showcasing the pieces which range from $19.95 (for accessories) and $129 (for a coat). The price is the main attraction for these sorts of lines. It gives everyday women a chance at something far out of the ordinary.

The Italian label's founder, Consuelo Castiglioni, designed the spring collection for the brand which will be available in 260 stores worldwide. I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favourite pieces in signature fabrics and prints, Castiglioni told Vogue UK. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colours, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic and adding sporty utilitarian elements.

The Marni for H&M collection boats menswear and womenswear in Marni's signature bold prints and eye-popping colors. Sheath dresses, chic coats, maxi skirts, leather accents, sequins and super fun tribal accessories are enough to make even the busiest night owl take a night off for an early rise.

We all love the collection here at H&M and we believe that our customers will too, H&M's Margareta van den Bosch told Vogue. Marni has such a modern touch with everything they do, mixing prints and accessories in a playful but chic way. It's fantastic to see how Consuelo Castiglioni coordinates her designs, matching new combinations of print and colour, with such incredible craftsmanship behind every piece. The collection will arrive in stores at just the perfect time, as a lovely statement for spring.
