As it turns out, soft-drinks maker Pepsi is diversifying its portfolio. The company’s brand new “Pepsi Phone P1s” is official now in China with top-of-the-shelf configurations and an affordable price tag.

According to Fonearena, the mid-ranger Pepsi Phone P1s has the logo of the company inscribed at the back and the handset is apparently manufactured by Shenzhen Scooby Communication Equipment. Speaking of design, the device features an aluminum unibody chassis.

Key Pepsi Phone P1s specifications include a 5.5-inch display, 1080p screen resolution and 2.5D glass protection. Under the hood, a true octa-core MediaTek MT6592 chipset powers the handset. On the software front, the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS based Dido OS reportedly runs the handset, out of the box.

When it comes to camera configuration, the Phone P1s sports a phenomenal 13-megapixel rear-facing sensor. In addition, there is a generous 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for selfies. The fingerprint reader has reportedly been housed on the back of the device. A cool 3,000 mAh battery cell keeps the lights on for a longer period of time.

The phone comes equipped with 16 GB of built-in storage capacity. To top it all off, the handset can accommodate two SIM cards and it supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and 4G LTE-connectivity. The second SIM slot will apparently double as a microSD card slot.

The device bundle contains a charger, a cable and Pepsi has also tossed in a protective case free of cost. Readers should note that all the aforesaid high-end configurations come at a dirt cheap price. The Pepsi Phone P1s price, as quoted by Fonearena, is CNY 699 i.e. about $110.

This handset can now be availed in three hues namely Blue, Gold and Silver. As of today, the P1s can only be availed in China via the retailer JD Finance.
