Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have made headlines throughout the year, especially after they announced their engagement on Nov. 27.

But it was a rumor a month before their engagement announcement that Gossip Cop dubbed as one of their top stories for the year. In October, tabloid Star claimed that Prince Harry will be giving up his royal life to be with Markle in Los Angeles.

At that time, Markle still hasn’t announced her exit from “Suits.” The actress played the role of Rachel Zane in the series for seven seasons. The tabloid also quoted an unnamed source who said that Prince Harry is so in love with Markle that he decided to relocate.

“Harry and Meghan have done a trial run of living together at his palace cottage, and while Meghan loved London, she hated being so far from her family, who live in Los Angeles. She decided that putting down roots in England wasn’t for her, even though she knew she might end her relationship with Harry,” the unnamed source added.

Gossip Cop debunked the rumor immediately after it was released, and it also dubbed the story as “completely fabricated.”

It was later on confirmed that Markle was the one who relocated to London so she could be with Prince Harry. The actress also set her job as an actress aside so she could fulfill her new tasks as one of the newest members of the royal family.

During their first sit-down interview with BBC, Prince Harry also revealed that he and Markle flew in and out of their hometowns for over a year to make their relationships work. He said that they have done a wonderful job that’s why they survived.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Markle are set to tie the knot on May 19, 2018 at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. Prior to their wedding, fans of the royal couple could expect more unfounded speculations to be reported about their big day.
