Meghan Markle has proven that she fits the royal family pretty well.

On Monday, the "Suits" star and Prince Harry announced their engagement. After just a few days, Markle had her royal debut with her fiancé and she looked every bit of a princess in her ensemble.

On Friday, the "Horrible Bosses" actress and Prince Harry stepped out together. Markle kept herself warm in a full-length cashmere mix double-breasted coat from Canadian brand Mackage. She also wore a black turtleneck bodysuit from Austrian brand Wolford and a beige-chino style skirt from London label Joseph beneath it, People reported.

Prince Harry's fiancée kept her fashion by pairing her ensemble with over-the-knee boots by Kurt Geiger. She accessorized with a burgundy tote bag from Strathberry.

Sideone Goldman, U.K. press agent for Wolford finds Markle's top "a very modern choice" while adding that the bride-to-be owns the same bodysuit in white. The actress reportedly purchased it at a boutique in New York.

"She looked chic — elegant yet understated. Just how you would imagine a modern princess to look," Goldman said. He also compared the "Remember Me" star's wardrobe to Kate Middleton and found it more modern.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Markle both have good taste in fashion and their choices have been compared as the latter and Prince Harry's romance heats up. Although they are both trendsetters, there is still a slight difference in their ensemble.

"I think Meghan's style is slightly younger than the Duchess of Cambridge and slightly edgier, but that's because Meghan is not walking in the role of a princess and Kate is," designer Ben de Lesi told Hello Magazine of the two women's fashion. "Kate has embraced it beautifully, with style and class. Sometimes it borders on being very safe but I always think she pulls it off beautifully."

For her royal debut, a number gave Markle bouquets of flowers, USA Today reported. She greeted and talked with the people warmly. Meanwhile, one man from the audience asked the royal prince, "How does it feel being a ginger with Meghan?" to which Prince Harry replied, "It's great, isn't it?"

The palace shared a snap of Prince Harry and Markle when they arrived at the Nottingham Contemporary Exhibition Centre to mark World Aids Day. In the photo, the "Dater's Handbook" star removed her coat and indeed, Markle looked every bit of a modern princess.
