Very recently, we reported that the Meizu MX5 was spotted running in two benchmark testing sites, revealing key configurations. Now, new information specific to the battery life of the device has emerged. Here is a summary of reported features, specifications, price and release date of the new Meizu handset.

Meizu MX5 Battery, Rapid Charging Feature

According to Gizmo China, a fast charging technology called “mCharge” will be part of the Meizu MX5 smartphone. This technology can boost the mobile device from 0 percent to 25 percent within 10 minutes. Plus, it can shoot up to 60 percent within 40 minutes of charging. The handset will have a solid 3,150 mAh battery pack.

Among fast charging technologies, GSM Arena says, Oppo's VOOC is the best of the lot. It can charge the device from 0 percent to 70 percent in just 30 minutes. This rapid charging technology is part of the Oppo N3 with 3,000 mAh battery unit on board.

The Meizu MX5 is to be released June 30. Speaking of Meizu MX5 price, the handset will set the buyers back by 1799 yuan in China (about $280), says Gizmo China.

Meizu MX5 Specifications, Features

The device will feature a solid 5.5-inch display and a Full HD screen resolution. It will be powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6795T (Helio X10) processor, clocked at 2.1 GHz. While the graphic end of the handset is believed to be taken care by PowerVR G6200 GPU, the device will be backed by 3 GB of RAM configuration. Meanwhile, Gizmo China says, this Meixu handset will house a fingerprint scanner.

The MX5 will apparently come equipped with 16 GB of memory storage. The handset will sport a 20.7 MP rear-facing camera unit with the capability to record 2160p videos. There will also be a 5 MP front-facing unit for selfies, which can capture 1080p videos. The Chinese tech titan has not confirmed the Meizu MX5 specifications so far.
