Could Melanie Amaro be the next X-Factor winner? Head judge Simon Cowell seems to think so.

The 19-year-old singer from Sunrise, Fla. impressed judges and viewers nationwide with her impressive rendition of Beyonce's Listen in Wednesday's final performance.

Amaro also performed a duet with R.Kelly singing I Believe I Can Fly. The pair seemed to connect on stage as R.Kelly sang the song for the first time with another singer.

There's no doubt in my mind this girl is on her way to the moon, R. Kelly said after the performance.

Following Amaro's performance of Listen, head judge Simon Cowell told viewers, You, to me, should be the winner of X Factor.

That wasn't a $5 million performance, judge L.A. Reid continued. That was a $50 million performance.

The other two finalists, 30-year-old Josh Krajcik from Wooster, Ohio and 28-year-old singer-rapper Chris Rene of Santa Cruz, Calif., also received rave reviews, but many viewers are hoping Amaro will be the winner of the show. Does she have what it takes?

Amaro was born in the British Virgin Islands, but currently lives in Sunrise, Fla. Although she was not initially chosen to be a part of the Top 16, Cowell came to her home and decided he would add her to the show as a Top 17.

The winner of the popular show will be announced on Thursday. The winner of X-Factor receives a grand prize of a $5 million recording contract and a starring role in a Pepsi commercial.
