It can sometimes be a difficult search for a director to cast a younger version of an actor or actress for a film. However, it can be pretty easy when you’re wife is the main character and your daughter who looks like her is available for the part. Melissa McCarthy's daughter Vivian Falcone was cast in her upcoming film, “Michelle Darnell.”

The 8-year-old will appear in McCarthy’s upcoming movie, which is also being written and directed by her father Ben Falcone, according to a TMZ report. She will be playing the 10-year-old version of McCarthy’s character in the movie.

The film is about a woman who goes to jail for insider trading. When she’s released she hopes to rebuild herself as the next America’s sweetheart, but not everyone will be able to forgive her what she’s done.

Falcone has been married to McCarthy since 2005. “Michelle Darnell” will be the second film the two have written together, after they co-wrote “Tammy” in 2014, which was also directed by Falcone. In addition to Vivian, the couple also has a 5-year-old daughter, Georgette.

“Michelle Darnell” will be released in theaters on April 6, 2016. In addition to McCarthy, the film will also start Peter Dinklage of "Game of Thrones," "Frozen’s" Kristen Bell, and "American Horror Story" alum Kathy Bates.
