When Mick Jagger's fans see that the veteran rock legend is in the news, they could be forgiven for being a bit nervous. But fear not classic rock fans, the iconic Rolling Stones front man is alive and well. In fact, he is expecting another child.
People magazine is reporting that Jagger's girlfriend, New York-based ballerina Melanie Hamrick, 29, is pregnant. That means that Jagger is expecting his eighth child at the ripe, old age of 72.
When Jagger's new baby is graduating high school, the rock star will be 90! But Jagger is not alone. There is a whole club of aging, new fathers in the world of celebrities. Here are eight older, famous dads:
1. Ron Wood
Jagger's Rolling Stone cohort Ron Wood is also a fellow old dad. Wood's wife, actress Sally Humphreys, gave birth to twin girls last year when Wood was 68.
2. Steve Martin
Martin became a father for the first time at age 68 when his wife, Anne Stringfield, gave birth to a daughter in December 2012. While appearing on "The Late Show with David Letterman," Martin joked with the host that he and his wife had named their baby "Conquistador."
3. Clint Eastwood
Clint Eastwood and his second wife, TV reporter Dina Ruiz, gave birth to their daughter Morgan in 1996. Eastwood was 66 at the time. Morgan is Eastwood's seventh child.
4. Larry King
Like Eastwood, former CNN anchor Larry King was 66 when he and his current wife, actress Shawn Southwick, gave birth to their son Cannon in 2000. King is now 82 and retired, perhaps giving him time to teach 16-year old Cannon how to drive.
5. George Lucas
In 2013, "Star Wars" creator George Lucas and wife Mellody Hobson welcomed baby girl Everest Hobson Lucas. The baby was born via a surrogate and is the first biological child for Lucas, although he does have three adopted children with ex-wife Marcia Lucas. When Everest was born, the gray-haired director was 69 years old.
6. Rod Stewart
Jagger's rock star buddy Rod Stewart is also a seasoned member of the old dads club. Stewart has had eight children. Aiden, his youngest, was born in 2011 when Rod was 66.
7. Hugh Hefner
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was also 66 when he and Kimberly Conrad welcomed son Cooper. Hefner, now 87, is set to have Cooper, 22, to take over the magazine.
8. Donald Trump
Yes, Donald Trump. The presumptive Republican nominee has kept his children close to him over the course of his campaign, making his daughter Ivanka and son Donald Jr. two of his closest advisors. Trump's youngest child, Barron, was born in 2006 when Trump was the ripe age of 60.
