Known as the flagship-killer, the OnePlus 2 got released in August, whereas the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL will hit the store shelves sometime in November. While the OnePlus One successor got a not-so-impressive start, the Microsoft device is already garnering rave reviews from across the globe. Here is a comparison of key specifications, features and price of the aforesaid devices.

Lumia 950 XL vs. OnePlus 2: Display, Design

The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL comes with a huge 5.7-inch display, bundled with a QHD resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels, while the OnePlus 2 features a relatively smaller 5.5-inch display. However, the resolution of this handset is a letdown with only 1080 x 1920 pixels on board.

While Microsoft has utilized AMOLED display technology, OnePlus settles for LTPS LCD screen. The display combinations translate to a pixel density of 518 ppi on the Lumia handset and a modest 401 ppi on the OnePlus 2.

Speaking of design, Phone Arena said that similar to other Lumia lineup, this device also comes with plastic construction. Even though it makes the handset lightweight, the premium feel is missing when compared to flagship devices from OEMs like HTC and Samsung.

The OnePlus 2, meanwhile, has familiar design elements seen in the predecessor. However, this time around, the company has opted for a "sharper and more refined" exterior, according to Know Your Mobile. The body is made of magnesium and aluminum alloy, complete with steel control keys.

As with the tradition of churning out killer camera units, Microsoft offers a 20-megapixel PureView rear-facing sensor on the Lumia 950 XL. In comparison, the OnePlus 2 sports a relatively inferior 13-megapixel primary camera with dual LED flash. But then, the Lumia device features an industry-first triple-LED flash. On the front, both the phones sport the same 5-megapixel selfie clicker.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 2 comes equipped with 3,330 mAh (non-removable) cell, whereas the Lumia 950 XL houses a 3,340 mAh (removable) unit. While the Microsoft device offers wireless battery charging option, the OnePlus handset doesn’t.
