Microsoft has reduced the price of all the models of the Surface 3 tablets by $100. It is a limited period deal that will come to an end on Feb. 20.

According to Neowin, the Redmond giant had slashed the price of the Microsoft Surface 3 with 128 GB twice in the previous month. For two days, the 128 GB variant was available with $150 discount and later on it was made available with $100 price cut. However, now Microsoft has slashed the price of all the variants of the Surface 3 tablet by $100.

The regular price of the Wi-Fi only 64 GB and 128 GB storage variants are $499 and $599. However, the new price cut has reduced the prices of both models to $399 and $499, respectively.

The Wi-Fi + 4G LTE models of the Surface 3 is also available with $100 discount. Its 64 GB and 128 GB models are usually priced at $599 and $699, respectively. However, the new discount has reduced their pricing to $499 and $599, respectively.

The Microsoft Surface 3 tablets come with one-year free subscription of Office 365 Personal. Customers also need to be aware that buyers who purchase the Surface 3 along with a docking station can avail an extra discount of $30 until the end of this month.

The publication has reported that since Microsoft is offering discounts on the Surface 3 tablets consistently, it may be an indication that the company is trying to clear its remaining inventory. The Surface 3 tablet was released in May 2015. Hence, Microsoft’s attempt of clearing the remaining stock of Surface 3 also indicates the working on a Surface 4 tablet.

Other rumors suggest that the Redmond giant may abruptly end the sales of Surface 3. The probable reason behind it is that an International Data Corporation (IDC) research has revealed that 1.6 million Surface products that were sold in last quarter of previous year mainly constituted to Surface Pro devices and not the budget friendly Surface 3, Business Wire reported.
