Halliburton Co., the second largest oil services firm in the world, reported its second quarter net profit fell $262 million or 29 cents per share, from $504 million or 55 cents per share a year earlier. Earnings results of the Houston-based company were higher than what analysts expected.

Nissan to invest $700 million in batteries for EVs

Japanese automaker Nissan said it will invest near $700 million in two plants to make batteries for electric cars in Britain and Portugal. Nissan is the largest car manufacturer by volume in the U.K.
