‘Midnight, Texas’ Season 1, Episode 6 Sneak Peek: Fiji Confides In Rev

Something evil is bothering Fiji in Season 1, episode 6 of “Midnight, Texas.”

In a sneak peek from tonight’s episode of the NBC series, Fiji (Parisa Fitz-Henley) opens up to the Rev (Yul Vazquez) about what she’s been experiencing recently.

“You know me a long time,” Fiji tells the Rev. “[I’ve] always been optimistic … able to see the light in the darkness. [But] lately, I’ve been failing. This one, hard.”

Fiji goes on to share that she hasn’t had a good sleep since she started hearing a voice calling her. “I feel something touching me,” the witch continues. “And I have this terrible feeling that it’s not gonna stop until it takes me.”

The Rev tries to calm Fiji down, saying that what she’s been feeling may just be an effect of her recent kidnapping. “You were just kidnapped. It’s natural that you feel a bit shaken,” the weretiger says.

But Fiji says that her abduction has nothing to do with what she’s feeling. “It’s not that,” she insists. “I feel like a demon is after me … or I’m going crazy.”

While details about the demon are being kept under wraps, it’s likely that this demon and the evil entity Fiji encountered in Season 1, episode 2 are one. In the second episode of the series, a demon took a liking to Fiji while she’s ridding Manfred’s place from ghosts. The demon called out to her, and Fiji talked back to it, asking who it was and what it wanted. The demon told Fiji that it wants her and threw Manfred out of his house.

Manfred burst back into the house in no time but the demon had already taken control of Fiji’s body. When the hand of the entity started to reach up to Fiji’s leg, the psychic rushed to his RV and grabbed his great-great-great-great grandmother’s skull. Using the skull, Manfred called out to her ancestor’s power and banished the demon back to its own dimension. But at the end of the episode, Fiji still heard the demon’s voice, demanding her attention.

Elsewhere in tonight’s episode, the Midnighters — according to the synopsis for the hour — team up to find a man who has been taking the lives of young women in Midnight.

“Midnight, Texas” Season 1, episode 6, titled “Blinded by the Light,” airs tonight at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
