Miley Cyrus is once again in the middle of a controversy. It's not her bra-less outings, too-skinny body or table dancing that is turning heads. New tweets and photos reveal that the starlet might be cutting herself.
A close up image of Miley Cyrus posted on FitPerez.com, shows a line of marks leading down the former Hannah Montana star's wrist. Another photo that zooms in on Miley was posted on PlanetMiley.com. Both photos show marks that look startling similar to cut marks.
The photo from Planet Miley was taken when Cyrus was walking her dog on April 2.
Based on the picture alone, those do look like cuts, Lori Vann, a licensed professional counselor supervisor in Dallas told Planet Miley. The location (on non-dominant arm, underside of forearm), the length of the cuts, the lines of the cuts, and the spacing all appear to be self-inflicted injuries.
According to Dr. Gilda of Dr. Gilda.com, girls generally cut themselves to take control of their lives when they feel their lives are out of control. Dr. Gilda continued that Some women think that they deserve to bleed because they're not in control of their lives.
Besides the apparent cut marks on her arm, Cyrus has also been tweeting cryptic quotes. Cyrus tweeted on April 26, Scars remind us of where we've been. Not where we're going.
Miley Cyrus' weight also has fans worried recently. On April 8 Cyrus tweeted a photo of herself sniffing a Carl's Jr. takeout bag. The caption read I can't eat it. So I'm just gonna smell the shittttt out of it! My mouth is LITERALLY watering. A combination of the tweet and her recent slimmed down body had many wondering if the star was suffering from an eating disorder.
The actress and singer blamed her slim figure on a gluten allergy, taking to Twitter to say, For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not about weight it's about health. Gluten is crapppp anyway!
Earlier this week it was reported that Cyrus' boyfriend, Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth was upset with her after a stint of dancing on a table top during a party at Beacher's Madhouse in Los Angeles.
If Cyrus is cutting herself, she is far from the first celebrity to turn to self-injury. Fellow Disney star Demi Lovato, Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Courtney Love, Christina Ricci, Amy Winehouse and Princess Diana are just a few celebrities who have admitted to cutting themselves.
