The claim is came from @MTV_Newss, who was posing as "MTV News." The Twitter user provided a link to the Miley Cyrus death claim which was posted around 3 p.m. But instead of providing a link to an actual story, users are taken to a site where they can supposedly receive a month of anti-aging cream for free.
The faux news site fooled few people.
@yanalagunilla tweeted, "You guise should stop this.RT @MTV_Newss: Popstar Miley Cyrus has been found dead in her Miami house tonight read more"
@prissvinn posted, "So its only RIP miley cyrus for her twitter ._. How can someone post that she founded dead in her house ._."

Cyrus fans will be relieved to learn that they can still watch their favorite perform "Party In The USA," but some were displeased when the singer posted a picture of herself Sunday night on Twitter rocking a bleach blonde pixie haircut.
@MileyUrAmazing tweeted, "@MileyCyrus RIP Miley's bun. You'll always be loved and will never be forgotten... Such a sad day in the world of celebrity hairstyles"

But not everyone was taking Cyrus' new do so seriously.

Cyrus didn't chop off her long brown locks on a whim. She reportedly donated her hair to Locks of Love, but that may just be another rumor considering her hair had been dyed and was fairly short until just recently went for her punk-rock pixie look.
Either way, Cyrus is happier than she's ever been with her appearance.
She tweeted, "never felt more me in my whole life," "someone just told me I'm prettier than Miley Cyrus" and "feeling so happy in my skin."
