Rumors are swirling that Miley Cyrus may be joining the second season of the Fox reality series 'X-Factor' as a judge.

An insider told E!Online that Cyrus, Avril Lavigne, Fergie, and Demi Lovato are all being considered to fill the two vacant judge's seats on Simon Cowell's hit show.

The insider said no official offer has been made to Cyrus but the insider said there have been talks, reported Celebuzz.

Cowell has been looking for two judges to replace Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, who he fired in January.

E!Online also reported that the deal that the one year, $15 million deal with Spears is just about signed.

Both camps were back and forth on the money but now they have finally come to agreement on the fee, an insider said to E!Online. That was the big sticking point and now, thankfully, it's been sorted. All they need to do now is work out the smaller points. The fact the money is now set, means that there is nothing stopping this from becoming a reality.

'X-Factor' declined to comment on the matter.

Cyrus rose to fame after starring in the Disney channel's 'Hanna Montana' series. She holds the title of Most Charted Teenager after getting 29 hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

The new judge will join Spears, Cowell, and L.A. Reid onstage.

'X-Factor' will return in September on the Fox network.
