Miley Cyrus and Patrick Schwarzenegger have been spotted together for the first time following rumors suggesting that Schwarzenegger cheated on her. The couple were photographed out for a sushi dinner Monday night, showing some serious PDA. According to ET, Cyrus and Schwarzenegger were seen holding hands and kissing throughout their romantic meal in Studio City, Calif.

Stories of the 21-year-old's infidelity began surfacing after multiple sites published photos of him with another woman during a spring break trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Schwarzenegger addressed the photos, saying she was the girlfriend of one of his friends and he would "never do anything against" Cyrus. Still, many outlets believed his alleged cheating would be the demise of the relationship.

Amid the media frenzy over the cheating rumors, sources rushed to Schwarzenegger's defense. According to Just Jared, the rumors "hit Patrick really hard" because he would never jeopardize his relationship.

"He feels bad that it would affect his relationship, but he 100 percent never cheated on Miley. He knows the pictures look bad, but honestly, nothing happened," a source told the site. Another source added, "he's worked hard at this relationship with Miley," saying, "he provided her with a lot of stability and normalcy."

Cryptic messages posted to the "Wrecking Ball" singer's Instagram led many to believe she had broken off the relationship. Shortly after the photos hit the Web, the 23-year-old singer shared a quote, "surround yourself with people that reflect who you want to be and how you want to feel, energies are contagious." She later headed out for margaritas with her mother, Tish Cyrus. Though her posts had people buzzing, it appears she and her beau are still going strong.

Prior to the cheating scandal it was widely believed that things between Cyrus and Schwarzenegger, son of actor and former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzengger, were getting serious. Although they've only been together a short time, it has been rumored that they are discussing the possibility of marriage. TMZ reported Cyrus was doing everything she could to impress her boyfriend's mother, Maria Shriver, including dressing more conservatively. Shriver (President Kennedy's niece) reportedly finds the musician to be "a negative influence" on her son.
