Danielle Doty of Harlingen, Texas, was crowned Miss Teen USA 2011 at the beauty pageant held at the Atlantis Paradise Island and Resort in the Bahamas on Sunday, being the first person from Texas to win the prestigious title since 1996.

The pageant was divided into 3 categories - swimsuit, evening gown and interview - and the judges panel that comprised of Katherine Schwarzenegger (the daughter of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver), Fred Nelson (People's Choice Awards president), Dr. Cheryl Karcher (celebrity dermatologist), Vinnie Potestivo (former head of MTV's East Coast Talent and Series Development) and BJ Coleman (entertainment guru) ranked the contestants on all three.

Doty had to beat Audri Mari (First Runner-Up, Miss North Dakota Teen USA), Alexis Swanstrom (Second Runner-Up, Miss California Teen USA), Taylor Clark (Third Runner-Up, Miss Kansas Teen USA) and Sydnee Stottlemyre (Fourth Runner-Up, Miss Missouri Teen USA) to win the crown.
