When your wedding lasts for three days, you're bound to have a few drunk guests, so Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello came up with a surprising way to keep everyone healthy. During an appearance Monday on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Vergara's "Modern Family" co-star Julie Bowen revealed that the couple had an IV station set up for partygoers at their Florida gathering.

"They had a little ambulance truck with an IV station where you could go get IV hydration," Bowen explained. “I thought somebody had had a heart attack because there was this first aid truck set up outside of the pool area where all the bungalows are. But there were people sipping espresso getting IV re-hydration.”

Bowen, 45, said Vergara's three-day wedding -- which took place Nov. 22 at The Breakers Palm Beach Resort in Florida -- was "insanity," but also a lot of fun.

"It’s like a slow-moving trolley,” she told DeGeneres. “And you jump on, and you drink and you dance and then you jump off. You can’t stay on for three days. It’s like a party train. It’s insanity. And it’s really fun.”

As previously reported, Vergara opened up about her "fairy-tale" wedding in December on DeGeneres' daytime talk show.

“It was my family and closest friends,” she said. “Ah, my son, Manolo, was very excited to give me away. It came out perfectly like how I wanted it, I have to say.”

The 43-year-old Colombian actress also said her reception didn't end until 6 a.m. the following day.

“We had a party and then an afterparty,” Vergara explained. When DeGeneres asked if everyone was drunk after so many days of partying, the actress responded, “No, not everybody. They were there and they were tipsy.”

Following their wedding, Vergara and the “Magic Mike XXL” actor honeymooned in Parrot Cay, Turks and Caicos. At the time, Vergara shared a photo of them posing together outside, captioning the image: “We will never forget this place.”
