“Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” episode 5 will see Crown Prince Yi Yeong (Park Bo Gum) suspecting Hong Ra On (Kim Yoo Jung) of being the mysterious dancer who caught his eye.

KBS World TV has released the preview for "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds," also titled "Love In The Moonlight," episode 5, hinting that someone is close to uncovering the truth about Ra On's identity and that Yeong might be planning something big by taking his father's place on the throne.

In “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” episode 4, Ra On finally discovers that the guy she’s been mistaking for a Flower Scholar since entering the palace turns out to be Prince Yeong after she was assigned to be one of his eunuchs. Ra On thought it would be the end of her, since after all, she has been insulting and has been rude to Yeong all this time. However, the prince, who still has no idea she’s actually not a he, asks her to continue treating him like a friend when they’re alone. Despite Ra On finding out about Yeong’s true identity, they settle into their usual banter easily behind closed doors, but of course, the mischievous prince continues to make her life extra hard by teasing her and trying to escape from his duties.

Meanwhile, it looks like Yoon Sung (Jung Jin Young) is starting to suspect that Ra On isn’t what she seems. When Ra On accompanies him to the market, he catches her looking wistfully at a lady’s hanbok. He buys it, then hands it to Ra On and tells her to use it as a shield when it starts raining hard. He implies that he bought it for someone important, but when Ra On tries to give it back, he tells her to hold on to it for now until the person he bought the present for is ready to accept the hanbok.

Confused, Ra On waits under a shed with the hanbok covering her head while Yoon Sung goes in search for an umbrella. To her surprise, Prince Yeong joins her seconds later, so she tries to sneak away while hiding her head under the hanbok. But before she can succeed, Yeong draws her attention with a question, and when she says something, the prince’s gaze immediately turns to her, growing sharp. Luckily, Yoon Sung saves her from being recognized when he steps in and tells Yeong that he’s her “woman.”

Prince Yeong becomes busy with preparing for the king’s birthday celebration, which will be attended by the Chinese ambassador and his entourage. He needs to impress the ambassador in order for him to approve of Yeong taking his father’s place on the throne, so he arranges a massive banquet and elaborate performances by gisaengs. However, on the night of the king’s birthday, the main dancer disappears. She had been threatened by the queen to leave before the performance or she would have her family killed.

Thinking on her feet, Ra On dons the dancer’s costume and a veil and takes her place. She’s memorized all the steps from watching the gisaengs practicing for days, so she performs splendidly. Meanwhile, Yeong and the rest of the court are riveted to her performance. The prince becomes teary-eyed while watching Ra On as he is reminded by his late mother who used to dance in the rain.

In the “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” episode 5 preview, it looks like Yeong will be searching for the beautiful dancer who mesmerized him. In the clip, he gazes at Ra On with suspicion, especially her eyes, perhaps noticing that hers and the mysterious gisaeng’s eyes look eerily alike. However, Yeong won’t be the only one suspecting Ra On of lying about her identity. It seems one of the other eunuchs is starting to catch on as well.

"Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" will also introduce Cho Ha Yeon (Chae Soo Bin), the daughter of the Minister of Culture and Yeong's betrothed.

Find out if Ra On gets busted when “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” episode 5 airs on Monday, Sept. 5 at 10 p.m. KST on KBS2. For now, watch the “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” episode 5 preview below and share your thoughts about the drama in the comments!
