It looks like publisher Warner Bros. and game developer NetherRealm Studios are planning something big, as the latter has teased the possibility of even more “Mortal Kombat X” downloadable content (or DLC) in the near future. This comes on the heels of the revelation of Tremor, a brutal new character who was originally thought to be the last character of the current “Kombat Pack” DLC that also included Predator, Tanya and Jason Vorhees from the “Friday the 13th” movies.

According to GameSpot, the hint of future “Mortal Kombat X” DLC came after NetherRealm showed off some gameplay video of Tremor during a Twitch TV live-streaming event where fans were able to see some of the character’s deadly moves. The Twitch video concluded saying this was the end of “Kombat Pack 1,” hinting at the possibility of a “Kombat Pack 2.”

It should be interesting to see if the possible “Kombat Pack 2” will feature any new characters in the game, or if it will just feature new skins like the second season pass of “Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.” According to an article at Comic Book, Image Comics founder Todd McFarlane gave NetherRealm his blessing to include popular comic book character Spawn in “Mortal Kombat X,” so it will be interesting to see if he joins the roster.

Neither NetherRealm nor Warner Bros. has dished out any details on future “Mortal Kombat X” DLC, aside from the tease at the end of the Twitch TV stream. NetherRealm has a history of surprising fans, as when it announced Martian Manhunter and Zatanna for the studio’s DC Comics fighting game “Injustice: Gods Among Us,” so its not out of the realm of possibility.

“Mortal Kombat X” is available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, with last-gen versions coming for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Tremor and the rest of the DLC characters are now available for download.
