The Moto G series of smartphones catapulted the mid-range, budget-friendly handsets arena by offering good value-for-money. Now, it’s time for the Moto G 2015 to replace the well-received Moto G 2014. With impressive configurations and an affordable price tag, the upcoming Moto device is expected to rule the roost. According to a latest report, a slew of live images of the Moto G 2015 have surfaced showing the smartphone like never before.

An insider that runs the Twitter account @abrahamzt89 has apparently uploaded four images of the upcoming Moto G 2015. It is worth noting that these are actual images of the handset's prototype. The images show a metal plate on the rear of the device, in addition to featuring a patterned or dotted back cover, which looks comfortable on the hands, thus guaranteeing excellent grip, notes Phone Arena.

In one of the close-up shots, the insider has switched on the Moto G 2015 showing the system menu. This confirms these images pertain to the upcoming Motorola handset. Also, reportedly the internal codename of the device is XT1542.

On the other hand, the Moto G 2015 release date has not been officially announced yet. However, in general, the Moto G lineup of devices has always been launched in fall and therefore, GSM Arena says, the upcoming successor will follow suit.

As far as the Moto G 2015 specifications go, the handset will reportedly have a 5.0-inch display, aided by a 720p screen resolution. The device will apparently be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. However, with respect to RAM configuration, Motorola may opt for either 1 GB or 2 GB unit. In the meantime, Phone Arena says, the LTE version of the upcoming device will feature higher RAM specification compared to the 3G version.

When it comes to camera configuration, the Moto G 2015 will reportedly sport a killer 13 MP rear-facing sensor, complete with dual-LED flash. In addition, there will also be a generous 5 MP front-facing shooter for selfies and video chats. In any case, readers should note that, Motorola has not confirmed the Moto G 2015 specifications or features thus far.
