A leaked photo and specifications of Moto G4 have surfaced ahead of its May 17 launch date. The Moto G4 Plus that will come with some advanced features like a fingerprint sensor is expected to be announced alongside Moto G4.

Evan Blass, the popular tipster, has revealed a leaked image of the alleged Moto G4. The handset was recently spotted on Geekbench, a benchmarking platform. It revealed that the smartphone will be powered by MSM8552 Snapdragon chipset.

Rumors have it that it will feature Snapdragon 615 or 617 chipset. The SoC of the Moto G4 will be supported by 3GB of RAM. Other speculations suggest it will feature 2GB of RAM.

On Geekbench, the purported Moto G4 recorded a single-core score of 937 and multicore score of 4451, Price Raja reported. The Moto G4 will arrive preinstalled with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS. Moto G4 rumors suggest it will come with a native storage of 16 GB and will house a 13-megapixel rear camera, Gadgets 360 reported.

The Moto G4 Plus is expected to sport better specs than Moto G4. One of the speculated features of Moto G4 Plus is that it will be coming with a fingerprint sensor. Speculations are rife that it will feature an internal storage of 32GB. It is also expected to sport a rear camera of 16 megapixels.

Motorola has been teasing the Moto G4 along with its expected features such as enhanced battery, improved camera and better performance over predecessor model and rival budget smartphones. The company will be officially announcing Moto G4 on May 17 through a launch event in India.

Rumors also indicate that Motorola is working on 2016 versions of Moto X Style and Moto X Play that are codenamed Vector Thin and Vertex. The Moto X Style (2016) is expected to sport a modular design that will allow users to add modules such as stereo speakers, a pico projector, additional battery pack and more.
