Motorola is believed to announce the "Moto G4," also known as Moto G 2016, and the bigger sibling "Moto G4 Plus" in India as well as in Mexico on May 17.

As a precursor, Motorola has shared a slew of teasers specific to the upcoming phone. The company promised earlier that it will be releasing Moto X 2016, Moto G 2016 and Moto E 2016 sometime this year. But it did not reveal the name of the device earmarked to be unveiled in two weeks time.

However, going by the teasers, it is quite clear that Moto G4 or the Moto G4 Plus could be in the offing. The teasers focus on various disastrous celebration and dating scenarios propelled by their smartphones. Without a surprise, each one of the scenarios has a fix in the upcoming Motorola handset via various features.

Under the hashtag #missing, Motorola has uploaded photos of several missing people. In one such teaser, an 18-year-old Stacy looks upset because the autofocus in her current handset ruined her birthday party. Motorola says “Stop #missing on milestones with a better camera. Coming soon!"

The teasers also insist that the upcoming Moto device comes packed with enhanced security and a better battery unit.

Moving on to rumored Moto G4 specifications, Phone Arena said the handset will feature a huge 5.5-inch display, bundled with a 1,080 x 1,920 pixels screen resolution. Under the hood, an octa-core processor is believed to power the device with 2 GB of RAM backing it.

When it comes to internal memory, the Moto G4 will apparently come equipped with 16 GB of built-in storage space. Rumors have it that a 13-megapixel camera unit has been mounted at the back of the phone.

Speaking of Moto G4 Plus, this device is expected to flaunt a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. Motorola has apparently housed a phenomenal 16-megapixel rear-facing sensor onboard.
