The twitter handle for the Rupert Murdoch case went from #murdochgate to #piegate after activist and comedian Jonnie Marbles lunged towards the media tycoon with a pie covered in shaving foam.

A group that included Murdoch's wife Wendy Deng, fought off the protester and the questioning session in parliament was suspended for 15 minutes. During this time Jonnie Marbles went from having 1,000 followers on Twitter to 13,000 followers and the new handle #piegate flooded with witty comments.
