NACCP Image Awards, created by the oldest US civil rights organization, named singers Beyonce, Alicia Keys and Jennifer Hudson, along with cast of TV comedy Tyler Perry's House of Payne as some of the top nominees on Wednesday.

Next month's 40th awards show will be hosted by actress Halle Berry and screenwriter / actor Tyler Perry.

The music nominations are led by Beyonce with five nods including outstanding artist, album, song, and music video for Single Ladies and If I were a Boy. Following close behind were former American Idol contestant Hudson, and Keys.

A Raisin in the Sun TV mini-series also received multiple nominations, while for movie entries Cadillac Records and The Secret Life of Bees dominated the list.

The ABC network leads with total of 24 nominations, followed by CBS with 14, and The CW and NBC both with 10. HBO earned nine and FOX seven.

There are 53 categories in the NAACP Image Awards spanning music, literature, television and music. Ceremonies will take place on February 12 at the Shrine Auditorium and will air live on FOX.
