Kim Kardashian West has slammed suggestions that she should name her second child South West. During a radio interview with NPR, Kardashian West said that naming her child South would be “the stupidest thing ever and just ridiculous.”

The reality TV star and husband Kanye West have a 2-year-old daughter named North. So when her pregnancy was announced recently on the midseason finale of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” some netizens immediately suggested naming the new baby South.

“I don't like South West, though, because that's like, you know, North will always, you know, be better,” Kardashian West said. She was on National Public Radio to talk about her book “Selfish,” but the recent announcement about her pregnancy shifted the topic.

Kardashian West and interviewer Mike Pesca agreed that naming both children after separate directions would set them up for conflict and opposition.

Pesca then jokingly suggested other names for the new child. He said he did some research on how directions are said in foreign languages. He found a few that started with a “K” and suggested them to Kardashian West. They had a good laugh, with Kardashian West adding that she and her husband have been receiving many name suggestions since the news about her pregnancy broke. In the end, Kardashian West declared that the final decision about a name will come from her.

Meanwhile, the reality star took to Twitter last week and debunked premature reports that she’s having a boy. She also said that she is not having twins and is most definitely carrying her own child and not using a surrogate. Her baby is reportedly due in December.
