The Nasdaq turned higher and traded near flat in late-morning trading on Wednesday, while the Dow and S&P 500 trimmed losses.

Priceline.com Inc was the top gainer on the Nasdaq after Goldman Sachs upgraded the stock to buy.

The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was down 16.63 points, or 0.16 percent, at 10,388.14. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> was down 0.90 points, or 0.08 percent, at 1,114.33. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> was up 2.51 points, or 0.11 percent, at 2,308.39.
