There's no shortage of NBA-related news lately, with the playoffs currently in progress and Jason Collins' recent revelation with respect to his sexuality. Now here's some more: Take-Two Interactive, home of the Bioshock and Borderlands series, has announced that "NBA 2K14" will arrive on Oct. 1.

The announcement was made in Take-Two Interactive's most recent earnings report. In the report, Take-Two Interactive referred to "NBA 2K13" as one of the "largest contributors to net revenue in fiscal fourth quarter 2013." With that in mind, its no surprise that Take-Two Interactive is choosing to continue the "NBA 2K" series.

Take-Two Interactive did not provide any information regarding platform availability for "NBA 2K14." When that information does come to light, we'll be sure to bring it to you.
