Japan's NEC Corp said on Friday that nothing has been decided on a personal computer joint venture with China's Lenovo after the Nikkei business daily said the two are in final stages of talks on a tie-up.

What's been reported in the Nikkei did not come from us,

an NEC spokesman said, declining to elaborate.

The Nikkei said that Lenovo may take a majority stake in NEC Personal Products Ltd, a wholly owned NEC unit, that makes and sells personal computers.
