The latest round of rockers was inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Neil Diamond, Tom Waits and Alice Cooper have become the latest music stars to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Joining them were New Orleans pianist Dr. John and R&B singer Darlene Love. The annual ceremony was held in New York.

Diamond, one of the most successful artists of all time, is known for hits such as Sweet Caroline and Solitary Man.

Alice Cooper, whose real name is Vincent Furnier, is known for putting on a theatrical show and for smash hits such as School's Out and No More Mr. Nice Guy.

Love called her induction into the Hall of Fame her best 70th birthday present. She has sung several Phil Spector tracks with groups such as Bob B. Soxx & the Blue Jeans and The Crystals.

He's never stopped flying the flag of funk, said singer John Legend of pianist Dr. John.

The ceremony will be aired on March 20.
